USE OF COMPOSITION CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE KIND OF CHELATING AGENT FOR INCREASING TOLERANCE LIMIT OF SENSITIVE SKIN OR NONRESISTIVE SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the tolerance limit of sensitive skin or nonresistive skin and decrease or eliminate the perceptual symptom relating to sensitive or nonresistive skin. SOLUTION: The reaction of skin to external attack is related to the excitation of the sensory skin nerve. The sensitive skin or nonresistive skin except for allergic skin and inflammatory skin reacts to external attack showing the symptom same as normal skin unless an immunological mechanism is participated in the reaction and the reaction takes place more quickly and often more vigorously than that of normal skin. The overreaction of the skin of a patient diagnosed as sensitive skin by lactic acid stimulation test can be suppressed by the topical application of a composition containing an active amount of EDTA.
