PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a master fetching phenomenon by a compression plate can be prevented from occurring and thereby, the problem with a jamming of a removed printing plate or the like in the recovery of the removed printing plate can be solved.;SOLUTION: The compression plate 75 is rotatably supported by a rotary shaft 96 inside a removed printing plate box 74 with a cylindrical housing space. A used master UM which is released from a printing drum by an unillustrated roller pair is deposited on the compression plate 75 located at a home position HP. The compression cycle that the compression plate 75 rotates to a position SP for reducing the compression and returns to a home position HP every plate upto the initial 10 plates, is repeated. Consequently, in the initial stage, the used master 61b is merely thrown out of the compression plate 75 but the compressing operation does not take place. From the 11th plate inclusive, however, the compression process is performed upto the maximum compressible angle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
