PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately assaying inulin in a specimen in a short time, to provide a calibrator for assaying inulin, and to prepare an accuracy control specimen for assaying inulin.;SOLUTION: The method for assaying the inulin is characterized by using an inulin preparation not containing a substance capable of being produced by the hydrolysis of the inulin in an extent giving an error to the assay of the inulin, especially an inulin preparation containing fructose, glucose, sucrose, 1-kestose, nystose, and fructofuranosylnystose in a total amount of ≤10%(w/w) as a calibrator and/or an accuracy control specimen for the accuracy control.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
