PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reserve seedling receiving unit of a sulky-type rice transplanting machine, capable of receiving reserve seedlings in such a manner that the seedlings are easily taken out from a driving position and, nevertheless, making it possible that the seedlings are easily loaded thereon from the outside of a machine body.;SOLUTION: In this reserve seedling receiving unit of the sulky-type rice transplanting machine, tops of both sides of a shelf support frame 22 of the reserve seedling receiving unit 20 which has two or more vertically-arranged seedling receiving shelves 21 are fastened to stanchions 31, 32 located on front and rear positions as a pair, respectively. The front and rear stanchions 31, 32 are respectively supported by a pair of stanchion support parts 33, 34 of the traveling machine body to be freely swinging in the longitudinal direction of the machine body, so that they are formed into a trapeziform link mechanism. When the front and rear stanchions 31, 32 are both made to be in a position of standing up, the seedling receiving shelves 21 of the preserve seedling receiving unit 20 are each located in an area near to a driving part 10 so as to be horizontally positioned in the longitudinal direction. When the front and rear stanchions 31, 32 are made to be in another position of forward inclining, the seedling receiving shelves 21 of the preserve seedling unit 20 are each made to be shifted forward in the longitudinal direction, when compared with a position for receiving the seedlings, and further made to incline in such positions that the front areas thereof are raised.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
