PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel desulfurizer which enables deep desulfurization, is efficient, and has high utility.;SOLUTION: This high energy ray irradiation desulfurizer is a desulfurizer for petroleum products or petroleum semi-products, and has a catalyst fluid- liquid contacting zone for bringing the petroleum products or the petroleum semi-products into contact with a solution of a metal compound as the catalyst, a succeeding high energy ray irradiation zone and a sulfide recovery zone for separating and recovering the sulfide of the above metal formed by irradiation with the high energy rays.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
