PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterfeit/forgery preventing method for a betting ticket in a publicly-managed race for surely preventing the counterfeit/forgery at a low running cost.;SOLUTION: When the betting ticket is issued by a ticket machine 20 using a betting ticket sheet with oblique lines 39 preprinted thereon, this counterfeit/ forgery preventing method reads the positions of the oblique lines 39 and records the oblique line position information in the betting ticket sheet 38. When paying for the betting ticket 45, a paying machine 60 reads the positions of the oblique lines 39 preprinted on the betting ticket 45, reads the oblique line position information recorded in the betting ticket 45, and determines genuine/false of the betting ticket based on the reading information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
