PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, a communication device, a storage device management method and a storage device management program in which the fragmentation of a vacant memory is reduced as little as possible and the physical capacity of the empty memory can be made approximately equal with the actually available capacity of the vacant memory.;SOLUTION: The memory management apparatus has a vacant area link information generating means (30) for generating link information (16) of vacant areas storing no information by logically linking said vacant areas in respective areas obtained by dividing a memory (14) into a plurality of areas, link position information generating means (20 and 22) for generating information on a vacant top area at a top link position and a vacant tail area at a tail link position in the linked vacant areas, and information writing means (28 and 26) for writing information from the top area presented by the link position information according to the vacant area link information (16).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
