PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader, an image forming device, a composite machine comprising an image read function and an image forming function, and an image reading/image forming system that inhibit reading of an electronic signature document without permission and inhibit making a copy of the document to a recording medium linked with an external electronic authentication system. SOLUTION: This composite machine 11 is provided with the image read function and the image forming function and connectable to the electronic authentication system 9 registering identification information via the Internet 10, stores form information of a signature part in electronic signature information, enters the identification information when draft information or electronic data of a document includes electronic signature information, transmits the identification information via the Internet to the electronic authentication system, where the identification information is collated with registered identification information, and the composite machine 11 decides the validity/invalidity of read original information or execution/non-execution of image forming by electronic data based on the collation result.
