PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make quickly preparable simplified meshes having a proper simplification degree by accurately finding a distance between original meshes and the simplified meshes.;SOLUTION: An estimation error being a simplification degree when executing an operation for making apex common for the meshes is formed for every apex pair (Step S3). An arithmetic operation of this estimation error is executed by determining a maximum distance or an average distance between a surface of the original meshes and the apex of the simplified meshes by calculating a maximum value or an average value of a distance between a surface adjacent to the apex remaining by the operation for making apex common and the coordinates of the stored apex after storing the apex deleted by the operation for making apex common for every apex. A determination is made on whether or not the estimation error exceeds a designation error being a reference value of the estimation error (Step S5).
