PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently accomplish covered ring setting with a smooth finishing without depending on skilled persons.;SOLUTION: A recessed part 12 is formed at an end face of a columnar frame material 10 to house a gem or the like up to a setting part 21 and the outside of the end part of the recessed part 12 is chamfered to form an end rim 16 acute in section. The recessed part 12 gets the gem 20 or the like held therein with the setting part 21 of the gem or the like sunk thereinto. Thereafter, the end rim 16 of the recessed part 12 outward from the setting part is caulked to fix the gem 20 or the like. Further, a metal frame part 19 for fixing the gem 20 or the like is separated from an unnecessary frame material portion 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
