PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a method for determining dihydrotestosterone concentration with an extremely small amount of biological sample by sensitively determining a minute amount of dihydrotestosterone in a biological sample is required, and if the method is completed it would be an effective method for evaluating the relationship between the treatment effect of a disease due to a medicine and the amount of dihydrotestosterone and morbidity and for inspecting the illegal use of protein assimilation steroid or the like.;SOLUTION: Dihydrotestosterone is extracted from a biological tissue and plasma. N-methylpyridinium derivative is turned to the dihydrotestosterone extracted from the biological sample. An excessive reaction reagent and impurities originating from the biological sample are removed by a solid phase extraction method to extract dihydrotestosterone. After the impurities are further separated by HPLC, dihydrotestosterone is selectively and sensitively detected by the MS/MS method of a mass spectrograph.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
