COLOR-SELECTING ELECTRODE DEVICE FOR COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To do away with inconveniences due to flow of air inside a color cathode-ray tube and fall of a foreign matter by fitting a welding opening part where a part is free from welding at a welding part of an electrode frame member and an electrode arm member constituting an electrode frame body, in a color-selecting electrode device installed inside the color cathode-ray tube.;SOLUTION: The color-selecting electrode device composed of an electrode frame body made to support color-selecting electrodes fitted inside an aperture-grill system color cathode-ray tube is so structured to have an air-evacuating hole fitted to the electrode frame member at a welded part of the electrode frame member and the electrode arm member constituting the electrode frame body, so that, welding of the electrode frame member and the electrode arm member is completely made for the whole periphery without any welding opening part. Therefore, conventional inconveniences of space closure inside the welded part and foreign goods clogging at the welding opening due the existence of the welding opening are done away with, and air ionized with electron beams will no more remain inside nor any foreign goods will fall down, which eliminates inconveniences caused on electron guns, hence, quality improvement as a color cathode-ray tube.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
