PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromotive direct pressure type mold clamping device for an injection molding machine capable of holding mold clamping force for a long time.;SOLUTION: A fixed die plate 3 and a back plate 32 are arranged at both ends of a base 1. A movable die plate 4 is arranged in opposed relation to the fixed die plate 3 and a fixed mold 5 is held to the fixed die plate 3 and a movable mold 6 is held to the movable die plate 4. A housing 38 for housing the nut 12 of a ball screw 10 is connected to the front of the back plate 2 through a coil spring 9 and the nut 12 is supported by the housing 38 through a bearing 17. The leading end of the screw shaft 11 of the ball screw 10 is fixed to the back surface of the movable die plate 4 through a load cell 15. The screw shaft 11 is driven by rotating the nut 12 by an electromotor 20 and the movable die plate 4 is moved on the base 1 in a forward and rearward direction. At the time of mold clamping, the electromotor 20 is reversibly rotated slightly to hold mold clamping force.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
