PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reforming of stressed reinforcing steel wires, in an already installed pre-stressed concrete pole.;SOLUTION: If it is decided that a pre-stressed reinforcing steel wire in a pre-stressed concrete pole is in a deteriorated state, which has possibility of hydrogen embrittlement at a tested position of the pole, an electrode is connected to the end position of the pre-stressed reinforcing steel wire, a counter electrode is brought into contact with the side surface of the tested position of the prestressed concrete pole, and a current is made to flow between the electrode and the counter electrode to reduce a hydrogen concentration in the pre-stressed reinforcing steel wire and a reinforcing steel wire connected with it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
