PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a teat-cleaning device for cleaning the teat of a milk cow before milking. ;SOLUTION: This horizontal shaft-rotating type teat-cleaning device is provided by (1) penetrating a rotary shaft 9a of a pair of urethane rubber brushes 9 into the center of both sides of a hollow cylinder so that the pair of horizontal shaft urethane rubber brushes rotating in inward directions with each other by nipping the teat A in a cleaning case 2 deforms so as to coil around the teat A by a repulsive force on making a contact with the teat A for cleaning the teat from its root to tip, forming half circular acting parts in 4 positions by cutting both angles of both sides of the hollow cylinder, and arranging the initial phase of the pair of the urethane rubber brushes 9 by shifting a certain degree in their rotating direction, (2) installing a flexible resin sheet 7 capable of expanding and contracting the diameter of a teat-inserting port 6 according to the size of the teat and having no problem in its safety for the food at the teat-inserting port 6 as exchangeable for sufficiently covering the thickness of the teat A from its root to the vicinity of its tip, and the teat-inserting port 6 capable of inserting the teat A up to its root and having a function of removing washing water attached to the surface of the teat A on removing the port 6 from the teat at the completion of the cleaning, (3) setting the outside width of the cleaning case by almost 60 mm and (4) installing a bottom brush 10 acting on the tip part of the teat A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
