The invention provides an electric cable, comprising one or more electrically conductive wires and an insulation which surrounds the one or more wires, one or more tapping elements which are electrically connected to at least one of the electrically conductive wires and displace the insulation being arranged on at least one of the electrically conductive wires, in which electric cable the one or more tapping elements (6, 6') are held in the insulation (4, 5) in a fixed position with respect to the electrical wires (2). The attachment between tapping element (6, 6') and insulation (4, 5) creates a fixed, reliable positioning of the tapping elements (6, 6'). The invention also provides a system of electric cables (1, 1') of this type which can be connected with the aid of interacting tapping elements (6, 6'), and provides a method for producing electric cables of this type. In addition, the invention provides a method for connecting a first electric cable (31) and a second electric cable (38), the first electric cable (31) being wrapped around the connection which has been made to the second electric cable (38), and first (31) and second (38) electric cables for use in this method.
