METHOD TO REMOVE GAS LEAKAGE THROUGH FLANGE JOINTS OF GAS PIPELINES WITHOUT TERMINATION OF GAS TRANSPORTATION THROUGH THE GAS PIPELINE

A method for removal of gas leakages through the flange joints of the gas pipelines without termination of gas pumping through the gas pipeline is in filling the inter-flange space, through additional tap, by a tightening agent that undergoes self-vulcanization. First in the lower part of the flange at the outer side one makes a technological opening for an additional tap. After that in the upper part of the flange one makes one more technological openings in which there is fixed one more additional tap. Then both taps are opened, to the inter-flange space at the outer side of the flange one puts a circular gasket, and to the flange joint across the axis of the pipeline one places a sleeve tube. After that through the additional tap installed in the lower part of the flange by means of a syringe one brings in the tightening agent that undergoes self-vulcanization. After the tightening agent arrives at the outlet of the second additional tap it is closed, and the pressure of the tightening agent is made larger than the pressure of the gas in the pipeline. After the end of the process of curing of the tightening agent the additional taps are removed and the openings are closed.
