The invention relates to a process comprising a step of polymerizing or copolymerizing at least one monomer copolymerizable O polymerizable radically in the presence of stable free radical initiator AND FORMULA R SUP {1} {SUP -OOR, 2} where R SUP {1} {SUP YR, 2}, which may be identical or different, represent an alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, aralkyl for example comprising 1 to 20 carbon atoms. The procedure is quick, allows the initiator to play their role more effectively, and get themselves polymers or copolymers having a low yellowness index.
