The pieces of the jigsaw or puzzle can be fixed into position using a heat-activated (hot-melt) adhesive. Independent claims are also included for (a) a second jigsaw or puzzle with at least one piece having a shape which can be fashioned individually by the user, (b) a third jigsaw or puzzle assembled from a first set of pieces containing a space in which at least one additional type of piece is fixed, and (c) greeting gifts in the form of one of these jigsaws or puzzles.
