PURPOSE: A traffic control system for business town is provided to perform efficiently a management work of traffic data by fixing a size and a cost of the traffic control system according to a traffic volume of business town. CONSTITUTION: A client device(401) inputs data or commands into a central computer(402) according to an operator's request and inquiries, edits, and monitors traffic information. The central computer(402) manages a plurality of traffic signal controllers(L/C1-L/C32) by using a window-based user interface. A multi-port(403) is connected with a modem portion(404) including a plurality of modems. The modem portion(404) is communicated with the traffic signal controllers(L/C1-L/C32). A printer(405) outputs necessary information or reports according to the operator's request. The traffic signal controllers(L/C1-L/C32) are connected with the central computer(402) through the modem portion(404) or a PSDN/PSTN(Public Switched Data Network/Public Switched Telephone Network)(406).
