The present invention is a method for improving the discomfort generally felt at the reading table used for reading, and is freely moved in accordance with the thickness of the book by moving away from the conventional reading table type to which the elastic book holder (book pusher) is fixed. In order to provide a reading table having a book holder (4) and the lower support plate (3) is aligned with the groove portion (3a) and the locking portion (3b) can be fixed to the bottom of the book with a suitable elasticity.
