Construction Method of Precast Culvert using a Rolling Means

PURPOSE: A method for mounting a precast concrete culvert is provided to derive a smooth movement of PC culverts in a stamping manner by moving new PC culvert toward previously arranged PC culverts to connect together. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps of digging a cavity for the culvert and introducing base concrete(12) into bottom side of the cavity; arranging a number of stamping components(20) to support a center of gravity of the PC culverts(11); placing the culverts(11) onto the concrete(12) after applying water-resistant material to end pieces of the culverts(11); inserting PC wires(14) into holes(11a) of the culverts(11) on the stamping components(20) and mounting a tensioning jack(15) at one end of the wires(14) escaped from the holes(11a); jointing the previous culverts and new culverts by pulling the PC wires with the tensioning jack; and tensioning the PC wires(14) to complete the connection of both culverts.
