PURPOSE: A method and system for tracing logistics and preventing the smuggling is provided to computerize and automate a tariff logistics business by integrating an advanced communication technique with an advanced electronic technique and to prevent a smuggling and a theft by sensing and processing an electronic sealing number and position information in real time. CONSTITUTION: A processor block(104) is interlocked with a wireless transmitting/receiving block(101) for inputting/outputting various logistics management information signals to a DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communications) base station device, a modem and channel CODEC(corder/decoder)(102), a GPS receiving block(103), a RAM(105), and a ROM(108), and executes various related processes. The processor block(104) updates/stores GPS data received from the GPS receiving block(103) in the RAM(105) and the ROM(108) with time information in accordance with a periodic control clock, and updates/stores an electronic sealing number simultaneously. If the updated/stored information is entered in a DSRC base station communication area, the information is uploaded in the DSRC base station through the modem and channel CODEC(102) and the wireless transmitting/receiving block(101) in accordance with a control of the processor block(104). A vehicle mount terminal receives transportation instruction information, a remote command, and a processing result report being transmitted by a center managing server through a starting point base station or a destination base station through the wireless transmitting/receiving block(101) and the modem and channel CODEC(102) and stores the information in the ROM(108) through a process of the processor block(104).
