PURPOSE: A run flat tire for improving durability against puncture of a tire during traveling is provided to improve the endurance by distributing stress with arranging the inward elliptical convex part in the maximum bending range of the sidewall. CONSTITUTION: A run flat tire is composed of three crescent sidewall reinforcing rubbers(10,20,30), an inner liner placed inside the sidewall, and three cords(C1,C2,C3). The first cord is formed between the first reinforcing rubber and the second reinforcing rubber, and the second cord is placed between the second reinforcing rubber and the third reinforcing rubber. The third cord is formed in the rear part of the third reinforcing rubber, and convex parts(11,21) are formed inward in the first reinforcing rubber and the second reinforcing rubber. The convex parts are arranged at a tire section height of 50-70%, and the thickness of the protruded portion is formed to be within the range of 10-30% of the sidewall section thickness. Driving experience and steering stability are improved by distributing stress at the maximum bending portion of the sidewall with the convex parts.
