Block Molding Using Alumina-Spinel Waste Castable

PURPOSE: Block molded product is provided, which uses alumina-spinel waste castable generated at ladle and is improved in resistance against abrasion and heat impact. CONSTITUTION: A block molded product comprises various particle sizes of alumina-spinel waste castable powder; 5-10 wt% of alumina powder; 3-7 wt% of calcined alumina; 5-7 wt% of alumina cement as a binder; and 2-4 wt% of steel fiber. Preferably the content of the alumina-spinel waste castable powder is 10-20 wt% if the particle size is 1 mm or less, 15-25 wt% if 1-3 mm, 15-25 wt% if 3-5 mm, and 10-15 wt% if 5-10 mm.
