PURPOSE: A tongue fixing device is provided to increase the force of constraint by a seat belt and to reduce the product weight of the seat belt by mounting a holder on a seat belt webbing at the rear part of a first tongue, and constraining a second tongue by the holder. CONSTITUTION: A seat belt webbing(10) is drawn out or wound up along a webbing guide hook(18a) formed in a D-shaped ring(18) by means of operation of a retractor. A first tongue(11) and a second tongue(12) are fitted into the seat belt webbing(10). The first tongue(11) is constrained by the first holder(13). The first holder(13) is fixed to a loop lining. A second holder(14) is mounted on a seat belt webbing(10) at the rear part of the first tongue(11). The second tongue(12) is constrained by the second holder(14). The first and second holders(13,14) include a supporting portion(15) having a tongue hole formed therein, and a resilient portion(16).
