METHOD FOR ALLOCATING PN OFFSET AND CAPTURING PN CODE IN CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for allocating a PN offset and capturing a PN code in a CDMA mobile communication network is provided to quickly capture a PN code of a received signal by using a PN offset obtained by dividing an overall PN code in units of certain time. CONSTITUTION: An overall code phase of a signal received by a mobile terminal or a base station is divided and allocated by certain time intervals. A digital matching filter obtains a correlation value for every allocated code and compares it with a pre-set correlation threshold value(104) provided from the mobile terminal or the base station. If a code stream exceeds the correlation threshold value(104), the digital matching filter receives continuously from the next code phase which have been stored and in standby in the mobile terminal or the base station. An active correlator(106) obtains correlation values of continuously received divided and allocated codes, and compares them with a different pre-set correlation threshold value(107) provided from the mobile terminal or base station in order to capture a final PN code.
