FIELD: red mud processing. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of red mud in the form of pulp presenting alkali medium to magnetic-settling separator for separation of all ferromagnetic components under effect of magnetic field; transportation from separator of produced material in the form of pulp with activation of passing flow to the first device designed for electrophoretic separation for separation of negatively charged particles consisting, mainly, of silicon oxide and removal of then from common mass; transferring of remaining positively charge particles, mainly, oxides of aluminum and titanium into pulp by adding of fluid having acid composition, and direction, after activation, to the second device designed for electrophoretic separation where particles consisting, mainly, of aluminum oxide and titanium oxide are separated on opposite charged electrophoretic surfaces. Production line of red mud processing includes magnetic-settling separator to which initial material is supplied and from which pulp with alkali medium is supplied to the first device designed for electrophoretic separation; the first device for transportation of pulp with activation of passing flow that connects the first device designed for electrophoretic separation with the second device designed for electrophoretic separation to which, through the second device for transportation, pulp is fed, which consists of fluid having acid medium and material removed from negatively charged electrophoretic surface of the first device designed for electrophoretic separation.
