METHOD FOR EVALUATING BARRIER FUNCTION OF HOLLOW ORGAN VALVES IN ABDOMINAL SURGERY

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves pumping liquid into stomach cavity via infusion system introduced into beginning of duodenum until gastroesophageal reflux phenomenon is observed. Reflux offset pressure is recorded. Fundoplication cuff is applied after that and liquid is pumped in for the second time and intragastric pressure is recorded in cm of water column until valve rupture or suture cutting through occurs. Pressure is recorded by means of electromechanical gage attached to the stomach via gastrotomy opening of 1.5 cm diameter. EFFECT: high degree of objectivity in evaluating barrier function of hollow organs. 5 dwg
