METHOD FOR APPLYING PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY OF PLEURAL MALIGNANT LESIONS

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves intravenously or intrapleurally administering photosensibilizing agent. Intravenous administration being applied, laser radiation exposure is carried out by means of at least one diffuser unit introduced into the pleural cavity. Intrapleural administration being applied, laser radiation exposure is carried out by means of microlens or at least one diffuser unit introduced into the pleural cavity. Photosensitive preparation is used as the photosensibilizing agent. Intrapleural administration with diffuser unit being applied, light exposure dose is equal to 30-50 J/sq.cm. Transcutaneous treatment method being applied, light exposure dose is equal to 100-150 J/sq.cm. Photodynamic therapy sessions are applied daily or every other day in the amount of 5-10 sessions per course.
