FIELD: veterinary science, molecular biology, generic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animals breeding. Invention proposes DNA molecule exhibiting polymorphism by porcine gene alpha-(1,2)-fucosyl- transferase-1. Also, invention proposes method of identification of pigs showing resistance to intestinal diseases associated with E. coli and involving analysis of biological sample taken in pig for the presence of polymorphous gene encoding alpha-(1,2)-fucosyltransferase-1. Invention proposes method for breeding pigs showing resistance to intestinal diseases associated with E. coli and comprising polymorphous gene encoding alpha-(1,2)-fucosyltransferase-1. Also, invention proposes molecular analysis for detection of E. coli F18 receptors in pigs and set for analysis realization. Data concerning the polymorphous gene encoding alpha-(1,2)-fucosyltransferase-1 obtained using the present invention allow to differentiate resistant pigs from susceptible animals, to carry out diagnostic test and to breed pigs exhibiting genetic resistance against diseases associated with E. coli F18.
