FIELD: warning facilities; assigning alarm addresses in emergency warning units. SUBSTANCE: method includes voltage supply to line and then capacitor charging from central station for each alarm; after that command signal for closing switches of all alarms is sent from central station, whereupon sequence of two different-level regulated currents is sent from central station and then converted into information word which is, essentially, address stored in each alarm address memory device; after that further address loading in this alarm is disabled. EFFECT: reduced amount of alarm hardware; enhanced operating reliability in long transfer lines with great number of alarms. 9 cl, 2 dwg
