The hand grip (14) support beam (17) is joined to the load arm (2) by means of a guide carriage (18) riding rail (19) in the arm sense for continual adjustment during training. The grips (14) and beam (17) are joined by a second carriage (20) continually adjusting during training. The carriages have linear roller bearings and run on vee or grooved shaft as guided and the load arm sits to one side next to the seat (26). Seat and backrest (27) adjust relative to one another and in terms of armrest (10) and chest support (11) in both height and spacing. The seat can turn round and is tilted forward and the backrest (27) holder (29) runs arrestably (31) on a profile rail (30). The backrest is connected by swivel arm (32) to the balance weight (33) and in this way adjusts automatically to the form and shape of the users back.
