The milling unit (1) comprises tool mount (4) and spindle rotation transfer bearings (5,6) carrying the two milling tools. One tool at least can swivel in relation to the spindle so that angle ( alpha ) between a line (M) through the tool centers parallel to the work surface can be adjusted to the vector of the milling unit feed. The two milling tools run opposite ways and the angle ( alpha ) can be adjusted by swiveling the mount (4) relative to unit (1) round the spindle axis (C). All milling tools used should be identical and of the same diameter except one tool which acts as profiler and is of larger diameter. The unit can be exchangeably coupled to the spindle.
