A process for preparation of blown bitumen using a conventional blowing process at 200-280 deg C. The bitumen contains up to 5 wt. % aged polyolefin obtained by thermal decomposition and up to 10 wt. % of a paraffin portion with an average molecular weight of less than 700 g/mole, to which is added a high melting point wax with an average molecular weight of 1000-15000 g/mole.
