The production process is for castings (3, 4, 5) of large dimensions. The casting mold is rotated during casting, horizontally round a vertical rotation axis (1). The casting aperture (7) lies in the region of the rotation axis. A sand mold, either separate from a casting box or bonded to one, lies on a rotary table (2).
