Detecting the quality of human or animal ovarian follicles and/or of egg cells in them, based on the composition of follicular fluid, comprising measuring the content of follicular fluid high molecular weight plasma components (A), especially proteins, is new. An Independent claim is also included for separating the lipid-containing components (B) from the fluid.
