Population of transgenic plants, derived biological material, corresponding plasmid collection and population of transformed host organisms, as well as their use and methods for their production

The present invention relates to populations of transgenic plants which comprise a substantial part of all codogenic gene segments of a donor organism, and to biological material derived therefrom, plasmid collections and transformed host organisms with which plants can be transformed in a corresponding manner. Methods for producing the plants and the material and the use of the plants and the material for functional studies are also described. The codogenic gene segments are integrated into the genome of the plants. A population of plants of the species Arabidopsis thaliana, in the genome of which the codogenic gene segments from Saccharomyces cerevisiae are integrated, and their morphological examination under normal and stress conditions are described as examples.
