The foot element (5) of the tent pole (12) is joined to a pivotal pole extension (9) via an arrester (14) to hold them as placed. The joint (8) between extension and foot allows these to swivel in one plane at least. The floor element (5) has a ground plate (6) and connected joint (8) support at least half as wide as the pole (12). The arrester (14) comes in pin form plugged into the sides of pole and extension.
