The recycling method uses computer-controlled devices (R) and tools (3-9) for recovery of automobile components and materials. The assembly sequence used during manufacture of the automobile (2) is determined from the identification number of the automobile located at the recycling station, scanned by an automatic reader (12) and supplied to the computer (10) for optimization of the recycling process.
