Method for automated testing of software that has a graphical interface. A graphical editor is used to specify the dynamic and semantic behavior of the user interface. Test case generator software is used to generate test cases in conjunction with the specified behavior of the user interface. The test cases are generated directly after or in a delayed step after determination of the interface behavior.
