Manufacturing of electrode comprises: (a) providing an electrode body (10) made of conductive base material; (b) covering the surface with insulating layer; and (c) partially exposing the basic electrode by removing the insulating layer to form pattern. The pattern corresponds to the pattern to be formed on the surface of the workpiece by electrochemical machining.
