Automatic tool changing process and system exchanges tools between a tool store and the operating spindle

An automatic tool changing process for a work machine having spindle-mounted tools has a control unit to remove the required tool from a tool magazine. The tool is moved to a tool changing device which changes the tool on the spindle and returns the replaced tool too the magazine. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A tool changing system for the above process; and (b) a loading vehicle for the above.
