A paving slab for defining crossings over roadways has a trapezoidal shape which allows the same slabs to be laid into curves, with all the slabs with the same orientation, or in straight lines with alternate orientation. Each slab has a number of drainage grooves symmetrical across the centre, to line up with the drainage grooves of adjacent slabs laid in either orientation. The drainage grooves have a tapering cross section. The slabs can be coloured to mark out crossings and are laid flush wit the roadway.
