The fastening device for the fixing of a mounting for information carriers on a shopping trolley consists of a round bar (2) with at least two spaced apart pairs (3) of spigots installed on the surface of the bar. The spigot pairs each consist of two spigots (4) which are offset by 180 degrees. The round bar is made of metal and has transverse holes for the fitting of the spigots.
