Sterile chest and arm cover to be used in particular during operation at thyroid gland

In particular the third person involved in an operation at the thyroid gland has to move his/her arms frequently across a transitional area between sterile and not sterile, gradually contaminating the sterile area. A sterile protection device (1) covering the chest and the arms can be worn in order to avoid this. The lower ends of the sleeves (7, 8) are either provided with integrated gloves or with fasteners facilitating the attachment of such. There can be a particularly shaped neck area for a better fit and straps for attaching the device to the body. The cover (1) is made of a soft tissue or foil and can be disposed of after use.
