The bicycle saddle is in two halves (10,12) separated by a slot (14) so that the spacing in the buttock region (18) is adjustable. The saddle halves are interconnected in one piece at the saddle point (16). The slot in the region of the saddle point ends in widened out section (24) which may be in circular form. The saddle is elastically constructed in the region of the saddle point. An adjusting device (20) is provided to change the size of the gap between the two saddle halves.
