The roof tile (1) has a profiled exposed surface (5) on the top side (2) and flanked by a topside interlocking recessed section (6). A foot interlock section (14) is provided on the underside of the tile. The exposed surface has a recess (10) extending approximately in the head to foot direction (9), and a roll molding (11) extends parallel or conically to the recess. The topside interlocking recessed section has two grooves lying next to each other in the transverse direction and separated at least partially by a stop. The foot interlock section has two ribs (15) lying next to each other in the transverse direction and separated by a gap.
