The net (1) to protect motor vehicles against martens and cats consists of a very light, thin and flexible plastic net with an effective mesh width of about 1.5 to 2.5 cm. The upper section of the net is equipped with an elastic tensioning cord (4) which is twined into the net meshes beneath the bumpers. With private motor vehicles the lower section of the net hangs down loosely and slackly to the standing surface (5) and in the lower hem has a soft plastic cord drawn in for weighting.
