The apparatus has at least one programmable and configurable logic component (1) with interfaces for signal transmission for experimental use. The logic component is supplied from at least two independent time sources from a time source function group (2). Input and output elements from the input and output function groups enable bus signals which are at least 8 bit wide. At least one external configuration port is provided as an interface to a PC. At least one expansion port is provided for input or output signals. The ports are provided from the configuration and expansion function groups (5).
